Dear IdRHA Members -
I am so pleased to tell you that we had 186 runs this past weekend in our July show. We haven’t had such a turnout for awhile. Thank you to all of you who attended and showed your horses. I think fun was had by all. I would like to thank all of those here at KEC who helped to ready the place for the show and also a big thanks to Jonna Young for an excellent job as show manager.
Based on the great turnout at the July show, we have re-evaluated our August show. We had planned the August show at the beautiful Saddleback Arena in Driggs, Idaho. Unfortunately, some issues arose with the use of the arena and we will be back at King Equestrian Center for our 3rd show. Originally, the show was planned as a one-day show to meet our affiliate obligations. But…with such a great July turnout we will be extending this show to two days -- August 13th and 14th. The added money will be low; but I am sure all will still have a good time.
I apologize that the year-end point standings have not been kept as clearly as last year. We have lacked someone to figure these points out. Janice Leonard has agreed to do this task so the results should be on the website shortly. Thank you Janice!
Hopefully all of you are thinking about going to the Affiliate Finals in Nampa, Idaho. The top 10 placers in our affiliate are eligible to go. If you have not done so, please declare Idaho as your affiliate. This must be done by August 1st. You do not have to declare if you had Idaho as your affiliate last year. But … if you are new to NRHA or if you declared a different affiliate last year you must resubmit a declaration with NRHA.
